Welcome Mechanics 313 of Fall ’22!

Welcome to this course on mechanics (PHY 313). Don’t be fooled by the course title! Mechanics is a deep and rich subject, and we will cover it at a level of generality that allows us to see how modern frameworks can accommodate not only Newtonian physics, but aspects of special and general relativity as well! By the end of the course we’ll also see hints of quantum theory peeking at us from under the math.

Please use the links on the sidebar to access the course syllabus, the lecture schedule, and other features of the course. Note that the lecture schedule itself will gradually be populated with links to our lecture recordings and other resources.
